BestPriceScanner is designed to be used without creating an account. We collect minimal information:

  • Price alert subscriptions: If you set a price alert, we collect your email address and the target price you specify. This is stored securely in our database.
  • Usage data: We collect anonymous analytics data (via Google Analytics 4) including pages visited, search queries, and general device/browser information. No personally identifiable information is included.
  • Contact messages: If you contact us via our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To send price drop notifications when a product reaches your target price
  • To respond to your contact form messages
  • To improve the site through aggregate analytics
  • We never sell your personal information to third parties

3. Cookies

We use minimal cookies to:

  • Store your recently viewed products (locally in your browser — never sent to our servers)
  • Power Google Analytics with anonymized session data

You can clear your browser's local storage at any time to remove recently viewed products data.

4. Affiliate Disclosure

BestPriceScanner participates in affiliate programs with Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and other retailers. When you click a "Buy" link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This does not influence the prices we display or the rankings of products.

5. Data Retention

Price alert email subscriptions are retained until the alert is triggered or you unsubscribe. Contact form messages are retained for up to 12 months for support purposes.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase — secure database hosting (EU/US data centers)
  • Google Analytics 4 — anonymized usage analytics
  • Brevo — transactional email delivery
  • Cloudflare — DDoS protection, CDN, and Turnstile CAPTCHA
  • Vercel — website hosting

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request deletion of your email from our price alerts database
  • Request a copy of any data we hold about you
  • Opt out of analytics tracking by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser
